The Huawei P9 is widely known because of its LEICA co-engineered dual lenses, enabling you to capture more high quality and amazing photos and videos. How did Huawei put these stunning cameras into P9 without compromising on the handset’s sleek and compact style? Let’s tear the Huawei P9 down and have a look.
Tools Needed:
Step 1: Power off the Huawei P9 and remove the Huawei P9 card tray.
Step 2: Undo the 2 charging port screws with a pentalobe screwdriver.
Gently pull up the Huawei P9 LCD assembly until a small gap shows up, insert a spudger tip in between and run it back and forth to release the rear housing. The LCD assembly and rear housing are connected by the clips.
Step 3: Disconnect the Huawei P9 fingerprint sensor flex cable.
Step 4: Undo the screws locking motherboard and charging port.
Disconnect the flex ribbon connectors as shown in below.
Release the Huawei P9 motherboard, front facing camera and back facing camera module.
Step 5: Disconnect and pry to release the Huawei P9 loudspeaker assembly.
Step 6: Pry to release the Huawei P9 charging port module, earphone jack and vibrating motor.
Step 7: Remove the Huawei P9 battery, which is glued to the front housing by easy-to-pull adhesive and double-sided adgesive, also be careful not to damage the flex ribbons underneath.
Step 8: Pry to remove the Huawei P9 motherboard flex cable ribbon and signal cable.
Now the Huawei P9 was disassembled.
